Well...I don't mind either of them but if you ask for my opinion, I'd go with cricket.

To sum up our so far agreed sports,

Fencing- term 2
Soccer- term 2? (I think it's still being debated though I will sign up for Hockey)
BADminton- term 3 (got the net yesturday! It'll be set up before the holidays!)
Cricket- term 4

Agreed?

Fencing is out of school, if you want to miss out on some class tiem you'll have to sign up for Hockey or Soccer, I'm signing up for Hockey no matter what you guys decide Smile

Well...I played hockey...I don't think it's damaged my health and I've got a first hand experience of being a mordern knight in armour (seriously, the padding is heavy)

as for the people who actually do the running, if you get tired you can lean on your bat too or you can borrow someone else's and do some bat walking (I'll show you if you join).

Soccer is equally dangerous as people can kick you really hard, hockey I don't know since I was a goalie Cool

WELL

All the fielders wear is shin pads (soccer too) and I believe that the soccer boots have SPIKES on them *shudders* impaled by soccer spikes ><

But if you think about it, goalies are the last defence, of course they need to stop it with everything they have (which is a bat or their body XD)

well...hockey goalies have armour, the ARMOUR for the soccer goalie is...gloves

and the spell check says armour is wrong but ARMOUR isn't WTF?

Well, I zink zat we should try out for another sport in either Term 2, 3 or 4 because we missed out in Term 1? Well.. I dunno, I don't really wanna do soccer... because otherwise I'll go really buff, and maybe I might get kicked really hard and might break my leg.

Last year, I remember I bashed into Eloise and I nearly got squished flat. Smile

Dude...that's the whole argument on Soccer or Hockey...fencing is in term 2 (so we'll do two sports that term ><) so please pay attention.

Hockey...it depends how you look at it

Sure you have a wooden bat and the opposition has got one too. Sure the ball's hard as a rock, it'll only affect the goalie the most (a.k.a me) and the ball would roll along the ground so there is not much chance of it hitting your face (unless you deliberately smash your face into the ball). YOu wear shin guards so the bat won't damage the bone (not in a bad way...a massive bruise and maybe a war scar Very Happy

just kidding). AND there are strict rules on how a bat is held in a one on one competition for the ball so...yeah.

Most people love *emphasis on love* happy stories.

They love to see the bad guys lose and the hero (which is usually the least likely person) kicking their asses.

I've always wished for a story like that where the baddies actually win for once.

That way...there are no more good stories where they keep the reader hanging on well...in my point of view.
